The Purpose of the Central-PA Marine Associates is clear:

The Central-PA Marine Associates primary purpose is to engage in activities and events that educate and celebrate the history, traditions, and values of the United States Marine Corps.  At a minimum, this will include an annual event to commemorate the birthday of the United States Marine Corps, to include a ceremony in accordance with the Marine Corps Drill and Ceremonies Manual Chapter 22: Marine Corps Birthday Ceremony.  Costs for the event must be structured to permit attendance by Marines living on fixed incomes, and civilians are encouraged to attend.

Our secondary purpose is to act as good ambassadors between our community of active duty, reservist and veteran marines and the civilian public, and to leverage those relationships to further community initiatives that support the health and welfare of all United States military veterans.

At times, per the discretion of the board of directors and in keeping with the bylaws of that board, we may engage in other activities, including donations, in support of community and veteran-related non-profit efforts and organizations.
